The holiday buzz of Thanksgiving and Christmas is now behind us. As we look forward to the sparkling New Year fireworks welcoming in 2014, we have some quiet time to reflect and pen our New Year resolutions for a bright year ahead.
What are your New Year resolutions?
I looked up some of the most popular resolutions and the top 10 included “lose weight”, “quit smoking”, “eat healthy” and “get fit”. I couldn’t help but notice that many of these resolutions are self-oriented.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not discouraging self-improvement. But how about making a resolution for others?
Why not make a New Year resolution to never take our relationships with others for granted? Yes, let’s resolve to express our gratitude or say “I love you” more often, or to bring more joy just by letting someone know that we’re thinking of them.
Will you join me? Then raise your glass and make a New Year toast for spreading even more cheer.
Love & Joy,
