“To keep the body in good health is a duty, otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” ~Buddha
Day 1 of the 21 day process for simpler living (updated on Editor Bob’s Facebook page) aimed at decluttering our home. I spent a few hours sorting out different items according to things I needed and things I didn’t. I found a number of items that I forgot existed or hadn’t used in years. Moreover, I was able to donate them to people who needed it. Even though there is a long way to go, this small step gave me a feeling of clarity. Have you tried it?
Day 2 focuses on healthy living. My fitness activities have always been irregular. Today, I have vowed to take up the practice of Yoga three times a week. I feel it will help me clear and calm my mind. You could take up any activity such as dance, jogging or meditation that will help you escape from the world.
Have you heard the saying ‘The body is a temple’? In addition to yoga, I aim to declutter the type of food that enters my body. I pledge to keep it clean.
