“Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear.” – George Adair
Think about this. Due to a circumstance beyond your reach, you are moving to a new city, a new locality. Primarily, you will be starting your life over. How do you feel? Do you consider this as an opportunity to meet new people and experience new things and so address it with confidence and excitement? Or do you clutter your mind with anxiety and worry even before you have entered this new chapter? I choose the former.
It’s simple. In our rooms, we need to choose between two physical objects that will occupy a particular space. Both cannot be placed in the same space. Applying the same concept to our mental being, our minds too cannot and should not be clustered with both negative and positive thoughts at the same time. It will not prove beneficial.
In day 4 of 21 days towards simplifying living, I choose positivity over negativity. I choose to live in a space that allows me to breathe freely. I choose to forego the unnecessary room occupied by negativity, anxiety and dislike in my mind. I choose to unclutter my mind and occupy it only with optimism, happiness, love and beautiful experiences.
