Every good day in the calendar is celebrated by one community or another. The Jewish community is no exception to that rule. Having said that, they celebrate their festivals with utmost fervor and devotion.
The one who has faced real bad times in their life know the real value of joy. Their forefathers seldom enjoyed the freedom and joy that they enjoy today and they are mindful of that fact.
Every celebration has to be a moment to introspect and sometimes go nostalgic. It helps to understand that we are lucky to be where we are and enjoy what we have.
The point is to remember and never forget. And to not take anything for granted. Complacency kills.

Many a times I have visited the homes of friends who have introduced me to good food, kosher most of the time and great relationships.
Everybody is related in such homes and once you enter you become a part of the family for that day and forever.
It is the eight day celebration held in the rededication of the Holy Temple.
Have you seen the Hanukkah Menorah… The lights on them?
Beautiful sight, quite appropriate for a beautiful festival.
I wish for you all on this day to be blessed with all the goodness in the world. I wish your family be blessed with good health and good fortune.
You don’t need to live the life of a monk to be pure, but you can be purer than pure by keeping your heart clean and sporting a sweet smile.
Such attributes are usually seen in children and that’s why they are adorable. Mature with age, but keep those attributes intact; the world would be a beautiful place to live in then.
Wish you all a Happy Hanukkah!
