What Do You Like About The Presidential Election Campaigns?

Send Cute Cards! What’s not to like?

Or

What’s there to like?

Either of that question is the answer when you ask the citizenry of America on what they like about the presidential election campaigns.

Well, I am sure we have things we hate about the campaigning, but there are quite a few we all should uniformly like or I hope so.

Let’s look at this little fun list of likes:

For starters, the colors; yes, the presidential campaign is full of colors, red and blue in different coats all around the country. The confetti, the balloons, flowers and the banners et al makes it more of a celebration rather than a campaign.

You look at good looking faces and fashion statements. You look at strangers dressed prim and proper and announcing that they love America and would like to rule it for you.

You finally see the humane side of the campaigner. The family is paraded on the podium and the mandatory kiss by the couple in full view of the world to reassure all is well between them.

You watch the campaigners gathering guts and taking on each other. The words are spewed knowing fully well that one of those utterances may come back to bite them. That gamble they take while in front of the mike is a joy to watch.

Then the debates. Beautiful. The slugfest to decide the IQ level of the campaigners is a delight to watch. Rehearsed answers help only half way here, somewhere in the heat of the conversation the mask falls and people get to see the real person. It has cost elections before and made presidents out of mere mortals. It is like heavyweight boxing and a debate at the same time.

If you think you have seen it all, then wait for the scandals and the hidden skeletons tumble out of a candidates closet and you will be in for a riveting television viewing of denials, acceptance and apology.

All in all, there is something to look forward for everyone in the course of a presidential campaign.
