Yom Kippur – Day Of Atonement!

Repent and be absolved of your sins both to God and to your fellow human beings. A day as beautiful as Yom Kippur is a rare occurrence.

Future is nothing but days that don’t have a resemblance to the past or present. You don’t want another day that resembles the one where you committed a sin knowingly or unknowingly. That painful day is a reminder of what you did, but you wouldn’t want to live that again.

But how can one go past that pain?

The truth of life is this:

You cannot forget something that you really want to forget!

That’s why there is a day called Yom Kippur. You can confess, repent and be absolved of your sins and look to the future afresh.

You can’t undo something that you have done, but you can always repent.

That’s the second best thing.

Not many do that. I mean, repent. To step into the future you have to complete your backlog of the past. There is no way you can move on with a baggage in the heart. A baggage on the back is something you can carry, but the heaviness of a heart will never allow for happiness to show.

That’s how heart punishes. Heart is capable of love and so many other things, but it also gives the wakeup call when we are negligent or unrepentant. If we don’t listen, it will stop giving us what we wanted.

It goes for a happiness shutdown. And that’s when you realize.

On the event of Yom Kippur, with prayer in heart and goodness in mind, I wish you all a happy life.
