I was taking a nap when I woke up to a loud cheer. I went to the hall room and saw, Aaliyah and Kate were hugging each other. I could see excitement and happiness in both their eyes.
“What happened? You both look so happy!” I said.
“Oh, Bob! We are so happy! Kate’s sabbatical got approved and her application for a higher course in fashion designing too has been accepted. We were awaiting both the result and the approval. Finally, it’s here!” Answered Aaliyah.
“You go, girl! We are so proud of you! Beginning of another exciting journey!” I congratulated her. She thanked us and then gave me a tight hug.
“Bob, I can’t thank you enough for this. Had it not been you, I wouldn’t have had the courage to take this call. I was hesitant and too scared. I wasn’t sure if this was the right time or age to go for higher studies. But, you pushed me towards my goal and passion. It was all your encouragement that made this dream turn into a reality,” She said.
“There should be no room for compromising with our dreams. It’s on us to turn this dream into reality even when there are real challenges lying ahead. If we are sure and determined, then nothing can stop us!” I replied.
“Yes, I have learned this now. I am so excited and looking forward to it!” Said Kate.
“Okay, so now this calls for some cookies, muffins, and pastries. Let me also invite the rest of the gang to be a part of this happiness!” Expressed Aaliyah.
The rest of the evening was filled with good food, music, and banter. We were so proud of Kate.
No reason is big enough to prevent us from living our dream. Every challenge will have a practical solution which at first might not look easy. The essence lies in having that fire burning inside us to see ourselves living the dream. The rest of the things align and open up. Believe and work towards your dream as it was given to you for a reason!
